From Engineer to Entrepreneur: The Inspiring Journey of Wasim Akram

The Beginning: A Stable Yet Unfulfilling Job
After graduating with an engineering degree, I landed a job as a Quality Executive at an automobile company. For five years, I worked diligently, ensuring the quality of products and processes. From an outsider's perspective, I was settled: a good job, a stable income, and in December 2017, I married the love of my life.
However, beneath the surface, I felt a yearning for something more. The routine of my job, while stable, left me unfulfilled. I wanted to explore new opportunities and find a way to not just make a living, but to truly thrive and enjoy what I did.
Discovering a New Passion
In March 2018, a YouTube video changed my life. It explained how one could earn money through a website. Intrigued by the potential for a side income, I bought a domain and hosting, diving headfirst into the world of blogging.
The excitement and energy I felt while working on my blog were unparalleled. After my shifts at the automobile company, I would pour my heart and soul into creating content. It was not just work; it was my passion. Working on my blog became my way to relax and recharge.
The First Breakthrough
Despite my enthusiasm, the first year was tough. I didn't earn a single penny from my blog. But I didn't give up. I learned about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and soon, organic traffic started trickling in. The day I received my first Adsense payment of $106 was a day of immense joy and validation.
A Bold Decision
By January 2019, I made a life-changing decision. With my blog earning steadily, I resigned from my job to focus entirely on my online ventures. It was a leap of faith, but I was driven by the belief that I could build a successful career from home.
Facing Challenges
Success was not without its challenges. Two months after quitting my job, a major Google update caused a sudden drop in my website traffic. I was shocked and worried about my future. But within a week, the traffic rebounded, teaching me a valuable lesson about perseverance and resilience.
Expanding Horizons
I didn't stop at blogging. I ventured into affiliate marketing, dropshipping, and social media marketing. The arrival of my daughter in August 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic brought new joy and motivation. In 2021, we moved to my village, where I continued working with unwavering dedication.
Achieving Dreams
The hard work paid off. Over the next three years, I managed to create multiple income sources and bought property. Building a home for my family felt like a dream come true. My parents' pride in my achievements was the ultimate reward.
Today, I have a massive push notification audience with over 3.9 million subscribers, half of whom are active. This journey from an engineer to an entrepreneur taught me the value of passion, perseverance, and the willingness to embrace change.
